Thermal spraying has developed in the last years into a leading technology in a lot of fields in Industry.
HVOF and Plasma Processes have been optimised and a lot of new custom made ceramic- an carbide materials are used in a lot of industrial applications. Also the Postprocessing by grinding and Superfinishing has innovative new materials.

In this presentation an overview of new Processes, new materials and Industrial applications will be shown. A focus will be on the importance of testing and evaluation of coatings and processes will be shown.
