Titel lezing: Speeding up the development of novel materials using the high-throughput technologies.
Korte beschrijving:
During the last years much interest has arisen within industry in using high-throughput
experimentation in materials R&D. The optimization of multi-component formulations and
functional coatings to achieve a target set of physico-chemical properties for instance is a
process that lends itself well to a high-throughput approach.
Flamac, a division of SIM (strategic initiative materials) focuses on “High Throughput Methodologies” to support research for the materials and chemical industry. This competence enables large as well as small & medium sized companies to stimulate new product and process development and to shorten their time-to-market for new products. Open innovation is a key element for Flamac and SIM, enabling collaboration with industry, research institutes and academic laboratories alike.
Unique high-throughput equipment and software has been developed in the areas of e.g. formulations, high speed curable coatings and materials characterization. Those workflows are the backbone for the platform on which Flamac is continuously expanding its expertise. In this presentation, some unique technologies and industrial applications will be highlighted.
